Former haunt for 1910-1950's Halloween jazz, Bindlegrim's vintage music station (airing since early 2012) bids farewell, the sounds of past broadcasts drifting into the ghostly ether of space following the Jan. 2016 death of live365. For the curious, here are some links discussing the loss of this (and future) micro-casting internet stations, as we enter the era of big-name computer-algorithms:
It's always been a challenge to discover music - in large part because of the music industry itself. I can at least, as promised, now share my old working playlists here on the blog. This is most of the music that was either played, or sat in waiting, yet sadly doesn't include some of the vintage tunes I had planned to add... in hopes I would continue to expand selection and features of the station.
I do thank everyone who took the time to offer words of support at this loss of vintage vibes! I am absolutely thrilled to hear that the station offered a soundtrack for so many spooks. Happy future hauntings all you cool musical ghouls!

Just the title of this post makes me sad, but thank you for sharing the information - I appreciate it...
ReplyDeleteTo think this would have been the four year anniversary of the broadcast started in 2012...! I am sad too, but I see many others have since picked up on the music, and happy to have had an appreciative audience. Thank you!
DeleteBindlegrim has always been our background music we play for inspiration as we work on our little 'home haunt' and today when I went to login to find you it's gone! I'm so glad to find you here! Thank you so much for doing all you do and for posting the playlist! I can't wait to check out the rest of the blog and get our Halloween started for this year (it is April after all and I'm running behind schedule!) :)
